Join a club where you can make a difference.

The Empacher Fleet

The vast majority of our fleet is yellow! Quintin has an enviable fleet for all squads.

We have boats just crying out for you to come and use.

We usually have sculling racks for private boats. Please enquire for more information.

Quintin has a squad for everyone and we are always keen to welcome new members.

Our Squads

M

Men's Squad

Now’s the time to join us. We have a dedicated coach in Jamie Smith, excellent facilities, and plenty of excellent boats and crew options.

We aim to develop Henley Regatta qualifying crews. Join our top racing crews.

W

Women's Squad

We have a surprising large women’s squad. Our women members have achieved multiple Henley Women’s Regatta wins.

Coach Jackie Eastwood runs a Learn to Row section which has grown to become one of the largest sections of the club. The intention is to further develop this ever-expanding section of the club.

R

Recreational

You don’t have to race if that’s not your thing. Everyone loves being in a boat on the river. And what a great way to stay fit in safe and secure surroundings.

Come and have a look and join our recreational squad. We have regular sessions on weekdays and at the weekend. There’s no better all-round training than a rowing session. We often find once you’ve tried a paddle on the river you’ll be hooked.

V

Masters (Vets)

If you’re a competitive ‘Master’ or veteran rower, you’ll almost certainly be aware of our main racing squad. And the successes the squad has had. Just this year (2023) our squad won several golds at the National Masters and Munich EuroMasters. If you’re keen to join a truly competitive squad, then please come and have a row with us – you’ll be warmly received!

If you’re not quite so competitively minded or disposed, we also have a more recreational squad made of some very decent oarsmen. So do come and try out one or other squads. There’s also a very healthy social aspect to both squads.

U25

Student & U25 Rowing

There’s a variety of options for ‘oars people’ in this category, including a holiday membership plan.

If you are under 25 years then there’s a heavily discounted membership – or if you want to row and train in holidays from University or College then you can join on a very modest weekly fee. See our joining section for more information.

L2R

Learn to Row

A programme of L2R sessions will run the warmer months from Easter onwards. Contact us now so we can add you to our email list.

At the end of the courses rowers are welcome to join the existing squads at Quintin.

SOC

Social Members

We have quite a few social and overseas members. You might be taking a break from rowing and want to keep in with the rowing community, or you just want to use and enjoy the stunning QBC clubhouse and bar.

We have quite a few social events too which you’ll always be welcome to join. It is also worth pointing out that our bar prices are much lower than that of regular pubs and clubs.

What are you waiting for?
